Manage to get hold of glass bottle from NUK. NUK is a Germany company with longstanding history. I am sure those who are alert would have heard of NUK body powder being withdrawn from market in China.
Back to glass bottle. Plus point for glass bottle of course is: it is safe, does not leach harmful chemical such as BPA. The cons are: glass bottles are generally more expensive and it is breakable especially for older kids. Those who have kids will know that older kids like to throw their bottles once finished their milk. Dont know why. Perhaps they are just experimenting with different things in life. They just want to see what will happen if bottles being threw, they wants to hear the sound of it etc. Anyway, this is kids' behaviour. I think it is universal!!
Will try to find sleeve for glass bottle which can help to minimise breakage.

It had been a while since I last written. Came across this website recently:http://www.lifewithoutplasticblog.com/
Anyone who is interested can go to posting on march 6,2009, title: Sorry, more BPA bad news- this time soft drink bottles. It is about a recent study done by Health Canada on BPA in canned soft drink products. It was found out that 84% of soft drink products sold in Canada contain BPA . Whoever is interested can click to the link below to read about the study.

As mentioned in my previous blog, below is the link to a write up by President of Consumer Association of Penang. Note that few points in his article:

1. Safe daily upper limit of BPA, as calculated by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is 50 mcg /kg body weight. However, some studies report adverse health effects from exposures of only 0.025 microgram per kilogram of body weight per day.

2. A polycarbonate (PC) bottle with room-temperature water may leach two micrograms of BPA per liter. A 3-month-old baby drinking formula from a polycarbonate bottle containing BPA may be exposed to as much as 11 micrograms per kilogram of body weight daily.
Dear parents, sound scary, right? Imagine that our babies are taking milk feed above room temperature. What is the amount of BPA leached into the bottles?

3. We need to examine carefully the sponsor of those studies which claimed that BPA is safe.

4. Avoid BPA. Use either glass bottles, stainless steel bottle, or other safe alternatives such as bottle made of polyethersulfone (PES), polypropylene (PP).
